After taking their engagement photos last month in their beautiful yard I was excited to head back over for their farm wedding! Chad + Britany spent many hours working on projects around their house and yard. Getting ready for their big day and thinking about having their closest family and friends share in the celebration, they put a lot of thought into everything they did. Their outdoor ceremony location is one of my favorites!! The trees having grown up and then together was such a pretty setting for them to join together as husband + wife. Seeing Chad watch his stunning bride walk up the aisle with her parents was so touching. Always a very special moment of the day to witness!
Just after we finished prep with the guys in the house and they headed out to a trailer so the bride could come to the farm, it started to rain. Raining really hard then hail started pounding down. As we watched out the windows and were thinking of them on their wedding day along with Chad being a farmer we all wished so badly we could make it stop! As Britany pulled up to the house the sun came out and stayed just long enough to carry on with their outdoor ceremony! I love what I was told afterwards that as they were coming down the aisle Chad said he lost some crop today but married the love of his life!! And you could tell they weren’t going to let the rain, hail, wind or tornado watch get in the way of vowing their lives and love to one another!
I love this sibling moment!
We had a short time with the bride and groom at a special farmyard. It was Chad’s grandma’s homestead. I love this old barn and it was perfect shelter from the strong wind! A great spot for these two to cuddle in and reflect on what the day is really about. The two of them, and their love and commitment.
It worked out really nicely that we were able to sneak out after dinner for a few more portraits in the evening sunlight!
Congratulations Chad + Britany!
