This vacation was a highlight of our winter! All of my family staying together at a beautiful beach house on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas. Not wanting February to be over because it meant the end of a very fun family vacation. I’m pretty sure I can say that for all 14 of us!
The spacious house we stayed in at Whale Point was wonderful and worked so well for our family. A few steps to a gorgeous private beach with kayaks and a sailboat right there to explore the stunning turquoise water in this quiet bay. Starfish, turtles, a few sting rays and some even spotted a reef shark. It was not hard to thoroughly enjoy this island paradise. Lounging in a hammock, sipping a freshly blended smoothie, swimming in the ocean with the kids, eating delicious meals, sitting around a bonfire made for us on the beach. The list goes on. All a great combination for a fun, relaxing vacation. It really was blissful!
We didn’t tire of where we stayed and it had everything we needed but it was neat to explore more of the island too. We spent a day cruising around in golf carts on Harbour Island and another touring down this long, narrow island to the very south point and Lighthouse Beach. With a real laidback vibe and easy going way of life, Eleuthera is inviting and relaxing. There are numerous amazing beaches the length of Eleuthera on both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides. And pretty pink sand beaches, especially on Harbour Island.
