We started out talking about a springtime family shoot, then it was a summer one. And well, the summer was busy and we were into fall. Laurie was not keen for fall so we said for sure it had to happen next spring when things were fresh + green again. Then one day she excitedly called. Very inspired at the thought of a cozy fall family session. Sharing her ideas of a warm meal served up at their picnic table by the lake and cuddling in a blanket by a bonfire. She had already purchased enamel dinnerware and was planning the menu and their outfits. There was so much planning and effort that went into creating a fun fall shoot. I loved the warm, fall atmosphere. It was the cozy, loving spirit of their family that gives these photos the most wonderful feel. Such a wonderful, happy family to be with! I’m so glad for my part in capturing these images for your family!!
We started off with their very neat looking chicken named Mr. Fuzzy then out to the pasture and they have the most friendly cows!
Living on a farm and having an abundant garden this was a delicious, home grown meal! Even the milk. And of course the beef. The Saskatchewan touch with the saskatoon crisp in a jar for each one topped it all off.
