Wimmer family

Some of our visitors just laugh when we refer to our neighbors.  They look around the wide, open prairies wondering where someone might be.  Instead of our neighbors being all on one block they are just a little more wide spread!  We love our space + privacy out here in the country but knowing we have wonderful neighbors even tho they’re a mile, 2 miles or 5 miles down the road has made moving into this community so great!

From the first time visiting, I loved this farmyard.  So many beautiful trees and the river meandering thru their pasture makes for such a pretty setting.  A great home for this growing family!!  We had to get this adorable, happy boy into his Carhartt’s out in the pasture.  What he always wears when he’s out around the farm.  He really is a little farmboy!!

Thanks for all your kindness and generosity!  For not just being neighbors but friends.  A visit never seems too long and it’s always wonderful to be around you guys.  Thanks again for the amazing places you took me to after we finished up…I am incredibly excited to use those gorgeous locations someday!!

I got to meet Lucy…their very friendly cow that was bottle fed as a calf and came right up to us!

Courtney and Harrison

Spending time with Courtney and her precious 8 month old baby boy was a great way to start the week.  It was another amazing fall session!  The light and warmth of the afternoon was perfect.  Harry was a content little guy and I loved that when he was sitting up his little feet were constantly kicking!  So adorable.  And stylish along with his beautiful Mama.

Being Mom looks so natural for you.  Too bad it didn’t work out for your husband to join.  I will look forward to capturing all of you together one day!

Oh such a handsome boy!

Courtney Baumgartner - Thank you Jenelle for the beautiful pictures. I knew I would love them, but I didn’t think I’d love them this much! You are beyond talented and I would recommend you to anyone. I cannot wait to have more pictures done in the future (we’re going to have to expand our family as an excuse to get more taken). Can’t thank you enough.

Hindle family

I keep feeling very fortunate for the incredible fall weather this year!  After taking her sister’s family photos this summer, it was really nice to see this pretty lady again and meet her beautiful family too.  Exploring and playing, having races and looking for birds.  I just wanted to take photos of them giggling as they ran but it seemed like it was kind of strange that I wouldn’t want to  join in the races.  I love their little minds and sweet things kids say!  Even tho there were some tears, this pretty little girl and her easy going brother did amazing.  You two are very wonderful parents!  Thank you for coming all the way down from Regina to have me photograph your family!

I shared this photo on my Facebook page the other day but want to include it here too because I think it’s just too cute why it happened…I was determined to have her stand by her brother and she was determined that her + I needed to have a photo together. She won, I passed my camera over to her Mom.  It continues to make me smile!

Johnson family

We started out talking about a springtime family shoot, then it was a summer one.  And well, the summer was busy and we were into fall.  Laurie was not keen for fall so we said for sure it had to happen next spring when things were fresh + green again.  Then one day she excitedly called.  Very inspired at the thought of a cozy fall family session.  Sharing her ideas of a warm meal served up at their picnic table by the lake and cuddling in a blanket by a bonfire.  She had already purchased enamel dinnerware and was planning the menu and their outfits.  There was so much planning and effort that went into creating a fun fall shoot.  I loved the warm, fall atmosphere.  It was the cozy, loving spirit of their family that gives these photos the most wonderful feel.  Such a wonderful, happy family to be with!  I’m so glad for my part in capturing these images for your family!!

We started off with their very neat looking chicken named Mr. Fuzzy then out to the pasture and they have the most friendly cows!

Living on a farm and having an abundant garden this was a delicious, home grown meal!  Even the milk.  And of course the beef.  The Saskatchewan touch with the saskatoon crisp in a jar for each one topped it all off.

Aron + Kaitlin | Engagement

Key to my heart.  What a fitting theme for their wedding next summer.  These two are smitten, so happily in love with one another and have definitely made their way into each other’s heart.  Holding that key as tightly as they can.  They embraced the chilly and windy weather and more so one another.  It was difficult to even find shelter from the wind but these two laughed and loved and cuddled in.  Allowing for the most authentic, special moments.  The mugs of hot chocolate while snuggled in a beautiful handmade quilt was the perfect way to finish their session.  Just what you want to do on a day like that, be cozy with the one you love!

I am really looking forward to your wedding day, you two are a joy to be with!!
