Brooke | Weyburn, Sk heritage house

I adored my time with this gorgeous lady!   I’ve gotten to know Brooke over the past several months from doing some photography for Fine Lifestyles magazine.  You might recognize her as being co-publisher for the Estevan Weyburn magazine.  A total sweetheart with stunning smile that carried thru to the last shots we took in these pretty, vintage surroundings!

Melissa - Such a fresh beauty in a vintage setting! So pretty!

Zieglgansberger family

When we needed to postpone their shoot again because of weather in early February I surely thought by mid-April a lot of our snow would have melted.  Not so.  A cold wind blew hard but we were determined to capture their family’s first portraits.  What an honor!  I was glad Nicole told me they were adventurous.  Getting up into the loft of our barn, especially with a 1 year old, is just that!  The light pouring thru the missing slats + cracks takes me in every time.  This barn has a lot of history being built over 80 years ago.  A real juxtaposition with a young family excited of what their future will bring!

Nicole is also a photographer so their sweet little girl has a lot of experience in front of a camera.  Lexus stayed pretty serious but I just love how bright eyed she is and she did so well considering this weather.  She maybe even let her parents snuggle her a bit more than usual!  Nicole has her studio outside of Estevan and specializes in newborn photography – NZ photography.

I try to leave time during family sessions to capture just the parents.  I especially love when clients request beforehand that we make time for the two of them!

Stephen family | Eleuthera, Bahamas

I had very sweet and gorgeous beach girls to photograph on our family vacation.  A couple of my many very darling nieces!

Encompassed in soft pastel skies and tranquil water at sunset.  Making our secluded spot extra peaceful.  The sun drops quickly so we twirled in the water and then ran down the sand to our favorite dock.  She has grown up so much, the oldest of the cousins.  They were all so much fun to be with!

The younger one is most often smiling, loves to be goofy and equally as loveable!  She wakes up early so we snuck out of the house one morning and she taught me to be a ballerina among other things in her cutest little ways.

The chief BBQ guy and stellar smoothie-making lady!  I sure wouldn’t pass up holidaying again with these guys!  And not just for tasty food + cool drinks.

Odima family | Eleuthera, Bahamas

This is my kind of location for a photo shoot in February!!  The tropical gardens, pinkish sand beachfront and a neat wooden dock at the place we stayed in Eleuthera, Bahamas offered such a beautiful setting.  We ran over to this dock often to look for turtles, fish and sting rays.  The kids loved being in the water and playing in the sand.  Leaving their beach fun to get cleaned up for photos wasn’t appealing so we started off with sweet photos of Mama + the baby.

Their beautiful family of 5 that I love so much!!

Eleuthera, Bahamas

This vacation was a highlight of our winter!  All of my family staying together at a beautiful beach house on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.  Not wanting February to be over because it meant the end of a very fun family vacation.  I’m pretty sure I can say that for all 14 of us!

The spacious house we stayed in at Whale Point was wonderful and worked so well for our family.  A few steps to a gorgeous private beach with kayaks and a sailboat right there to explore the stunning turquoise water in this quiet bay.  Starfish, turtles, a few sting rays and some even spotted a reef shark.  It was not hard to thoroughly enjoy this island paradise.  Lounging in a hammock, sipping a freshly blended smoothie, swimming in the ocean with the kids, eating delicious meals, sitting around a bonfire made for us on the beach.  The list goes on.  All a great combination for a fun, relaxing vacation.  It really was blissful!

We didn’t tire of where we stayed and it had everything we needed but it was neat to explore more of the island too.  We spent a day cruising around in golf carts on Harbour Island and another touring down this long, narrow island to the very south point and Lighthouse Beach.   With a real laidback vibe and easy going way of life, Eleuthera is inviting and relaxing.  There are numerous amazing beaches the length of Eleuthera on both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides.  And pretty pink sand beaches, especially on Harbour Island.
