• hello and welcome!

    What does BEAUTI mean to you?

    beau-ty (n.pl.) Any of those attributes of form, sound, color, character, behavior, achievement, etc., which give pleasure and gratification to the senses or to the mind. Something excellent of its kind.

    BEAUTI is more than physical attractiveness. BEAUTI surrounds us in many forms.

    BEAUTI portrayed inside and out. BEAUTI at every age, in every stage of life. BEAUTI of this incredible world we live in. BEAUTI of emotions and feelings of the moment. BEAUTI that cannot be put into words.

    Discovering. Cherishing. Capturing.

    Thank you for checking out my blog, feel free to look around and add a comment or send me a note. Sharing life’s BEAUTIs from my perspective…enjoy! Jenelle

To Celebrate

When it’s a birthday that marks the start of a new decade, I had ideas of how it needed to be celebrated.  Although it wasn’t Paris, Italy or an island in the Caribbean.  And waking up in Minot may not have been my favorite idea.  We were out of the country like I said I wanted to be.  And it was the start of our roadtrip to Minneapolis.  To beautiful lake country and the City of Lakes.  Time away, with just my husband, no real schedule, new places to explore, a bit of shopping and making new friends.  We went downtown Minneapolis for a celebration dinner (we highly recommend Crave!).  Driving along the riverfront, there are an incredible number of bridges with a fascinating variety of designs crossing the Mississippi River.  More bridges are across the Mississippi River there than any other river community.  I really loved the parts of the city we were able to see.  I kept thinking as we drove past fabulous old buildings it would be such a fun urban setting for a photo session!  Next time.

Had to capture the sky as we drove along on my birthday

Jamestown, home of another favorite antique shop!

Salem Sue, the world’s largest Holstein cow – 38′ high, 50′ long and 12,000 pounds

North Dakota badlands, amazing scenery and definitely a spot to explore more another time!

Jenilee

The sky was clouded over and it was getting later into the evening so it was unreal the amount of magical light surrounding us.  What I consider perfectly overcast.  A delightful ambience for a fashion inspired shoot.  Jenilee you are a beauty and so natural infront of the camera.  On the inside as beautiful as you are out!  Our time together was incredibly inspiring.  Can’t wait to visit again this summer when you come thru on your roadtrip!!

Cassandra | Graduation

A couple evenings after Weyburn graduation, Cassandra and her boyfriend came out to Tribune.  All dressed up again, looking so pretty.  Her dog Puddles even had a matching bow tie!  Cassandra wanted photos taken at a family farm in the area and beyond that completely trusted me and my vision for her session.  These two were up for everything I suggested and we had a really fun, adventurous time together.  Which unfortunately meant collecting a few woodticks but for these beautiful photos I think it was worth getting to the places we did!  Congratulations Cassandra, you were so sweet and easy going to work with.  I told Logan he was a lucky guy to have you but I can see it goes both ways!

Mandi | Graduation Family Photos {Part 2}

Oh the excitement and happiness on graduation day.  And a beautiful, sunny day it was too.  I think the 2012 graduating class is a lucky bunch.  Finishing their final year of school a month early because of the renovations.  That’s an extra hooray!!

Congratulations Mandi!  You are surrounded by a supportive, loving family.  They are all so proud of their daughter, sister and granddaughter!  Have an amazing time in Europe.  What a way to celebrate your accomplishment!

Mandi | Graduation {Part 1}

The day started out overcast and chilly.  Then there was rain and even flurries.  Not what we expect at the end of May!  I didn’t know what we would do.  Mandi had her hair trial booked so it was a great opportunity to shoot her grad formals.  We took a chance and carried on as planned.  A chilly wind blew but Mandi looked amazing in her layers of vibrant blue and jewel details.  Nothing like a beautiful graduate anticipating this new chapter of her life to make a somewhat undesirable day just so fun!  As we were finishing up the rain started again.  I’m glad we took advantage of our little window of opportunity to capture these images.  Thank you!!

Loved the ballet poses!

This is definitely an occasion worthy of a cheer and dance!
