Walkeden family

This was a really enjoyable summer evening!  A super couple that I am glad to have met.  They are all definitely easy and wonderful to be around!!  These girls are adorable and have really sweet little personalities.  They had us laughing many times!!  And their baby girl is so content and good natured.  We found some great spots in their grandparents’ yard.  And fully enjoyed the beautiful, warm sunlight!  Thank you for having me photograph your wonderful family!!

Chad + Britany | Weyburn, Sk Farm Wedding

After taking their engagement photos last month in their beautiful yard I was excited to head back over for their farm wedding!  Chad + Britany spent many hours working on projects around their house and yard.  Getting ready for their big day and thinking about having their closest family and friends share in the celebration, they put a lot of thought into everything they did.  Their outdoor ceremony location is one of my favorites!!  The trees having grown up and then together was such a pretty setting for them to join together as husband + wife.  Seeing Chad watch his stunning bride walk up the aisle with her parents was so touching.  Always a very special moment of the day to witness!

Just after we finished prep with the guys in the house and they headed out to a trailer so the bride could come to the farm, it started to rain.  Raining really hard then hail started pounding down.  As we watched out the windows and were thinking of them on their wedding day along with Chad being a farmer we all wished so badly we could make it stop!  As Britany pulled up to the house the sun came out and stayed just long enough to carry on with their outdoor ceremony!  I love what I was told afterwards that as they were coming down the aisle Chad said he lost some crop today but married the love of his life!!  And you could tell they weren’t going to let the rain, hail, wind or tornado watch get in the way of vowing their lives and love to one another!

I love this sibling moment!

We had a short time with the bride and groom at a special farmyard.  It was Chad’s grandma’s homestead. I love this old barn and it was perfect shelter from the strong wind!  A great spot for these two to cuddle in and reflect on what the day is really about.  The two of them, and their love and commitment.

It worked out really nicely that we were able to sneak out after dinner for a few more portraits in the evening sunlight!

Congratulations Chad + Britany!

amanda - well captured my friend !!

Lena and Nicholas | 18 months

This little guy was wonderful along with his beautiful mommy.  He liked to be real close to mom with his teddy bear in tow.  We had lots of sweet moments and he enjoyed to be cuddled.  Making us work for the smiles but worth every effort for his cute grin!  Nicholas’ parents each moved to Canada from the Ukraine in the past few years.  It was neat to listen as Lena spoke in her native language to her son.  I think that’s one of the many gifts they’re giving their child!

Lena - I love this pictures. Thank you Jenelle for everything.

Stewart family maternity | Saskatoon Sk

You wouldn’t be able to walk up to just anyone’s door in the rain and have them open it saying “let’s do this!”  But with these world travelers it was not a surprise that they were up for an adventure!  Even ending up in barefeet on the wet grass.  You always know you’re in for a good time being around them and will get an ab workout from laughing!!  This fun little guy has an abundance of expressions, goofy faces and a big, happy grin!  He would excitedly run to show where baby is and give kisses on Mommy’s belly.  And then run off and find a puddle to splash thru or something to climb on.  Time with your growing family is refreshing like the rain!!

Janie - One of the things I love most about these guys is the fact that they reflect my favourite motto so easily… “Have as much fun as possible at all times” Looking great you guys! Can’t wait for the newest member to show their grinning face.

Gaudet family | Saskatoon Sk

I have so many wonderful relatives and being asked to photograph them is such an honor!!  To share in and capture their life right now along with enjoying to be together and have a visit.  We met at a beautiful park in Saskatoon along the river near their house.  We were well entertained by their little girl that has quite the imaginative, creative mind!  Trying to tell me she was a wild animal but dressed up in pretty dresses and just too sweet for that to be true!  With these wonderful people surrounding her there is lots of love, laughs and sweet moments!!

Hopefully now that you guys have moved closer it will mean many more fun visits!  Thank you for the memorable evening!!

For anyone that doesn’t know my cousin Janie Rae it is incredible for her to be walking so I think these are really special photos.  After a severe back injury causing paralysis this is absolutely amazing.  Really, she is amazing!  It’s incredible how the body can recover when there is great determination, a super positive attitude and a lot of hard work!  We are all so proud of you JR!!!
These sweet moments at the end of our session are some of my favorites!!

Adele - Steve and Janie – you are a wonderful family! What an awesome set of pictures to capture your ongoing miracle recovery JR – you have the most positive attitude I know of! Great job capturing it all Jenelle :)

Janie - Oh dear Jenelle! It is amazing how you are able to get the moments captured in between…the moments where we did not reflect discomfort or stress on our faces. LOL We are so grateful to have so many examples of our family together just as we are. Man you make us look good! I will admit that I was really feeling the effects of the workout the next 3 days, but it is all worth it to have Beauti photos “sans chaise roulante”, which is fancy talk for “without wheelchair” LOL Thank you for your patience with us and our wild animal (who, by the way, is now a magical wild animal that can grant wishes). We look forward to playing with you again!
