• hello and welcome!

What does BEAUTI mean to you?

beau-ty (n.pl.) Any of those attributes of form, sound, color, character, behavior, achievement, etc., which give pleasure and gratification to the senses or to the mind. Something excellent of its kind.

BEAUTI is more than physical attractiveness. BEAUTI surrounds us in many forms.

BEAUTI portrayed inside and out. BEAUTI at every age, in every stage of life. BEAUTI of this incredible world we live in. BEAUTI of emotions and feelings of the moment. BEAUTI that cannot be put into words.

    Discovering. Cherishing. Capturing.

Thank you for checking out my blog, feel free to look around and add a comment or send me a note. Sharing life’s BEAUTIs from my perspective…enjoy! Jenelle

Whether a visit in person, over the phone or even a message by email or text, I always enjoy connecting with this lovely lady.  We have many common interests and Nichola is such a motivator in her upbeat, cheerful, sweet way.  When you first ask what she does, she will tell you she’s a Mom to 3 beautiful babies.  She also works very hard with her Arbonne business as a health consultant.  Very passionate about what she does, it’s not hard to see why she is a top leader. Constantly researching healthy living not only to better her own family but puts on seminars to educate others and share her wealth of knowledge.

One of the afternoons photographing in beautiful heritage houses in Weyburn this winter was with this beautiful mom and business woman.

Carla - Beautiful photo shoot!!!

Wppi 2013 | Las Vegas, Nevada

We certainly made use of the time to fit a lot in to our days in Las Vegas last week for WPPI (Wedding + Portrait Photographers International).  This is the largest conference + tradeshow for photographers of the year and it was yet again educational, enriching and inspiring!  A whirlwind few days of attending classes with talented photographic artists who are industry leaders and making our way thru the huge tradeshow.  There is so much information being shared.  It’s an incredible and exciting environment to be in. Like the glittering lights along the strip, it’s super exciting yet a bit overstimulating and hard to take it all in!

There were 3 wonderful girls that I was with, we even lucked out getting adjoining hotel rooms!  But better than that Melissa pulled together a fabulous shoot with a talented trending artistan that lives in Vegas.  We started out more urban on the top of a parking garage then headed out of the city.  Shooting alongside these 3 photographers was a highlight!  Once her 2013 line is made public in late April I will share the images of this vivacious artist brightening up the Mojave desert with her fun personality!

Here are my girls that made WPPI 2013 most memorable: Melissa, Laurie and Brandi.  Thank you friends for an amazing time together!!!  Thanks to Brandi + Melissa for the photos of us girls – I love them!

Zaniyah | Shelly Rose Designs

I found Michelle a few years ago when I was searching on Etsy for wool dryer balls.  Which I have been using since then and love!!  She contacted me a bit ago asking if I could take photos of some other handmade creations of hers.  My gorgeous 3 year old niece was a super little model for these headbands!  Just what you need on a chilly day like this.  Be sure to check out Michelle’s shop: The Green Belle Shop by Shelly Rose Designs.

Chris + Renee | Maternity

This was a really special shoot.  I photographed Renee a couple months ago but her baby bump is growing and she wanted couple maternity portraits.  We were hoping to get some outdoor time and I’m glad it worked out.  It was foggy + chilly and they were surrounded by whiteness and pretty, frosty trees.   Like the nearly blinding brightness of the sun bursting thru the clouds and fog, they radiate from the winter scenery with their happy love and anticipation.  Counting down the final few weeks to meet their baby.  We ticked off the weeks with a cute idea they had.  Still looking amazing and a perfect little belly!

Thank you both for being so wonderful and having me document this exciting time in your lives.  I cannot wait to hear your news and will be thinking of you!

A very unexpected return

We have shockingly been reunited and I’m so amazed I want to share this story.  Nearly 4 months ago on a very snowy morning, our pups left our yard.  We had only been home a few days from Puerto Rico so they headed back towards my parents where they had been staying.  On the second day, Riko turned up about 20 miles away.  It was really strange he ended up on his own but there was no sign of our other pup.  So in time we assumed the worst and adjusted to having one.  Until this past weekend.  I was told of someone having a dog show up to their farm in a snow storm and they connected it to us.  It was an exciting drive to see if this was in fact our pup.  There Breck was, or Buster as they had called him.  Curled up in a dog house with 2 other dogs.  He had been taken in and well taken care of by wonderful people!!  But now he’s home, and I can still hardly believe it!
