*Update ~ We’re Moving!*

Being raised on a farm and marrying my incredible husband that grew up in the country has left us with a passion for country living.  This opportunity has now come and we are Saskatchewan bound!  A change of scenery in many ways.  It has been a huge decision and many emotions but we are very excited for the adventures ahead!  We will miss family and friends, the mountains, places we enjoy to go…so much that will draw us back often to visit in Alberta.  We are looking forward to being closer to other family + friends and having a change of lifestyle…so much that we will discover as we get settled into our new surroundings.

We plan to be living in our new home near Tribune, SK by the end of April.  I’m looking forward to continuing my portrait + wedding photography business in the Weyburn area.  For those of you in that area, I will be offering a promotion…details will be posted here on the blog in April.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement over the past couple years since starting my photography business here in Cochrane!  I appreciate each of my clients, it has been wonderful to document special moments in your lives and want to stay connected.  We hope to be back out to visit a few times each year and I would be glad to book photo sessions when we do.  I will try to post our travel dates with as much notice as possible.

Please keep in touch!  Thank you!!

*Breckenridge* Travel

Early in the year, we took off on a longer distance than our usual roadtrips to another part of the Rockies.  Down thru Montana and Wyoming…into Colorado…west of Denver…to the mountain town of Breckenridge.  A couple days of snowboarding at a ski resort spanning 4 mountains.  Wandering around the colorful mountain town.  Night boarding at another ski resort.  But best of all spending a few days with an incredible family, all the way from New Zealand.  Two years since we had been together closer to their home so we were thrilled it worked out to join in on their US travels.  Thanks for including us and making us part of your family!  And a big thanks to a cool guy named Shaun that made our holiday just that much better too!

Before leaving home, I had a list of antique + collectibles shops along our way.  We made it to a few.  And then I was cut off saying antique, vintage or collectible when noticing a sign.  I thought it was exciting while someone else thought it was slowing us down and taking up too much vehicle space!  I’m still thinking of my new favorite antique shop in Billings and the treasures I left behind.  Another one in Cheyenne, Wyoming, it was pretty neat too.  Next trip will be with a truck, maybe even a trailer.

*Tyler, Amber and Roman* Part II

In my personal opinion, winter and snow is best enjoyed with warmth and coziness. Huddled around a firepit in a neat handmade blanket with marshmallows and a storybook…..a perfect ending to our time together!

22 February 2011 - 10:31 pm

Kim Spears - This is ADORABLE !!! What a great idea. Such cute photos Jenelle :)

31 January 2011 - 10:43 pm

amber - All we can say is: WE LAAAAAAHHHHHHVE THEM.

*Tyler, Amber and Roman*

Home for these 3 is up in the Yukon.  And you can tell it is in their hearts. Not many people request to have their photo session in the winter.  It was great to be out with a sweet little family that enjoys, appreciates and finds the fun in nature…..even when it means there’s snow and cold for quite a few months of the year!  In my research to keep their session somewhat Yukon-like, I was intrigued and hope we will be able to visit the North.  And even if it’s winter, we would be sure to have the greatest time!

Thanks for making time for a photo shoot while you’re down…..appreciated your enthusiasm and creativity that made for a wonderful winter session!

Another mini post early next week…..we had a fun ending to their session.
