• hello and welcome!

What does BEAUTI mean to you?

beau-ty (n.pl.) Any of those attributes of form, sound, color, character, behavior, achievement, etc., which give pleasure and gratification to the senses or to the mind. Something excellent of its kind.

BEAUTI is more than physical attractiveness. BEAUTI surrounds us in many forms.

BEAUTI portrayed inside and out. BEAUTI at every age, in every stage of life. BEAUTI of this incredible world we live in. BEAUTI of emotions and feelings of the moment. BEAUTI that cannot be put into words.

    Discovering. Cherishing. Capturing.

Thank you for checking out my blog, feel free to look around and add a comment or send me a note. Sharing life’s BEAUTIs from my perspective…enjoy! Jenelle

While in Calgary earlier this month, I spent time with a friend who is discovering their passion for photography.  Recently purchased a new SLR camera.  Eager to shoot and absorb all that is photography related.  Paige kindly agreed to model for us as we went thru a few things with camera settings, posing and lighting.  A total sweetheart and so patient with us.  Here are just a few photos.  Thank you Paige!

Best of luck my friend, I’m looking forward to our next photo adventure!

Mike, Erin + Lydia

By the time I met Erin, I felt like I knew her from emailing back and forth.  And as our closest neighbors we feel so fortunate.  Absolutely kind, genuine and wonderful people!  It’s really nice having a few neighbors in the area around our age too.  The focus of this session was to get photos of Lydia with her 2nd birthday coming up and then add her Mommy and Daddy in for some shots too.  She was adorable in her girly outfits.  Lace and ruffles.  Her fingers and toes painted and a beautiful hairband.  What a little sweetheart.  At the same time such a busy little farm girl!  She takes her tractor driving seriously and likes to have her hands in the dirt too!

baby Gyana | newborn

Congrats to the Odima family!  I didn’t hear my phone in the nite but waking up to a text with their news was an exciting, happy moment.  We made a detour on our way to Calgary to meet + cuddle this precious little girl.  Just 10 hours old.  I am proud Auntie of another niece!  A beautiful girl with a beautiful name.  She’s adored by her brother + sister.  They ask, say and do the sweetest things for their baby sister.  I photographed Gyana at 1 week old.  A very mellow, sleepy baby.

Her little lace up booties are the cutest!!

Perfect little lips…kisses!

So so sweet…I love it.

Nimegeers | Extended Family

A gorgeous location, meaningful and charming.  The ghost town of Brooking.  Where Sue’s dad grew up and her grandfather was the mayor at one time.  They went out a couple nites before their session to our originally planned location and just weren’t really feeling it.  They knew I would love the substitute and I really did!  We had nice cloud cover and thankfully it didn’t rain because we wouldn’t have been able to use this pretty spot having only a dirt road to get in.  Driving back into town the streets were wet so we were fortunate!  I look forward to a picnic and another photo adventure at Brooking and another great laugh with this family!!

Super special to take some couple portraits on their wedding anniversary!

Wearing their green with pride!

Five generations…great gramma and great great gramma!

Nona - These are fun!! I especially like the black and white one of Kerry & Sue, the pensive one of the 3 siblings – and of course the babies are great either by themselves or with their parents! What a great time in the old town site.

Laura Lee - Beautiful Family – Beautiful Settings – Beautiful Photography!

I captured our nephew a few weeks past his first birthday while we were out visiting family in Alberta.  Bentley is one.  One busy boy.  On the move, he doesn’t stop.  I had short amounts of time, two days in a row, to photograph this cute, happy face.
