This beautiful love story began in the small town of Radville. A weekend they will never forget and feel was just meant to be!! Courtney happened to be home from university that weekend. Brandt had been working short-term in the area and was leaving the following day on vacation. She was out for supper with her Mom, enjoying the live music and I love that it was Courtney’s Mom who pointed out a cute guy walked in the door that she needed to talk to. The greatest things can happen when you are in the right place at the right time!! You can see they are adored by one another’s family and it’s neat Courtney had her Mom’s approval from the start!
A romantic, candlelit proposal at sunset overlooking the Okanagan Lake led to a wedding day at Kenosee Lake that was beautiful and really enjoyable to capture! Working with such an easy going, happy couple that completely trusted me to do my work was lovely! They chose one of the nicest places in southern Saskatchewan to be married with the beautiful stone chalet as the backdrop of their outdoor ceremony. With a nice variety of scenery in the park, by the lake and the venues being close in distance it really felt like it maximized our time together. We started in a cabin with the ladies getting ready in their monogrammed robes and one of the most unique details of their wedding were beautifully-colored wooden flowers in the bouquets and boutonnieres. Having a late afternoon ceremony, this wonderful couple wanted to do a first look once they were ready. Seeing each other for the first look was the most anticipated moment of their wedding day! Courtney found a tree-lined trail so they came from different directions and the moment when Brandt got the top of the stairs and they could see each other was golden as their faces lit right up and were filled with so much happiness! We gave them time to soak in the moment, hugging and kissing, then met up with their bridal party on this sunny warm afternoon before heading to the Chalet for family portraits and their wonderful outdoor ceremony.
It really was a pleasure to photograph this memorable day! To witness this happy, loving couple begin their marriage surrounded by the warmth and love of their families and friends. Congratulations Brandt + Courtney, we are honored you chose us to capture your wedding and wish you the happiest lifetime together!!!
Throughout the day we noticed a lot of ladybugs were attracted to Courtney’s wedding dress, she later sent a text after looking up the meaning that they mean good luck and protection!
These adorable flowergirls are their nieces, the most beautiful triplets!!! They were really sweet and adore their auntie and uncle!
A few more photos were shared in their Wedding Preview.
