On Kelvington graduation day I pulled up to a beautiful home in the country. You actually feel like you’re arriving to a golf club with the landscaping of their yard. It looks amazing!! Inside the house their family was busy getting ready for a weekend of celebrating graduation and outside it was a downpour (insert cringe but hopeful feelings!). The forecast showed it was an early morning rain so we all felt it would stop shortly. After scouting around their yard and rain still falling, not wanting to resort to an indoor shoot although they have a lovely house, I appreciated their hospitality as we waited. I was glancing out the window very regularly while working on my laptop. Hoping the weather would clear as this sweet graduate really wanted photos with her horses.
We were incredibly glad after lunch when the weather changed in our favor! A big shout out to her sister for all the effort to put blankets on the horses to keep them dry while it was raining then get them ready for photos in short order. Along with creating a perfectly coordinating pink halter. It all looked so pretty surrounded by the vibrant, fresh greenery! We even managed to keep Tanesha’s pretty, light pink dress quite clean as we headed out around the yard. I’m grateful when travelling for sessions like this when everything works out – even if the start time gets pushed back a bit. It was an enjoyable time getting to know their wonderful family better!!
Congratulations Tanesha, I hope you’ve had a fantastic summer and wish you all the best!! Thank you for choosing me to capture these memories of an exciting milestone!
