As they were travelling on Christmas Eve from BC to Alberta on snowy roads, Jason stopped the truck in the Rogers Pass. Choosing the highest point between each of their homes in the adjoining provinces as the place to ask Jenn to marry him!! We are thrilled for our good friends to get married this summer and it has been fun to hear their wedding plans! On the day of their engagement, my husband and I headed to Banff and all met up at Johnston Canyon to photograph them on an exciting day! We hiked to both the Lower and Upper Falls and there were lots of kisses as we took photos along the way. As we left Water Valley that morning we nabbed a beautiful holiday wreath off the door of Baroke Design’s shop to add to the festive, wintery look with the snowy trees and frozen waterfalls. The love and happiness and scenery were all so beautiful!
Congratulations you lovebirds, we enjoyed our time with you on the trails and sharing in your excitement on Christmas Eve!!
Jason is a snowmobile guide and my husband who misses the days of sledding together in the mountains put a lot of effort into borrowing this vintage snowmobile, getting it running and then it wouldn’t start when we got to the canyon. But it made for some laughs and a colorful prop!
