On the first day of 2020 we flew from Maui to the Big Island. Which definitely started the year off on a high note!! Kelton + Jo were engaged on this tropical, paradise island a year prior. So we were looking forward to their destination wedding for months and feel very grateful to be chosen as their wedding photographer! We’ve enjoyed watching the progression of this relationship over the years. Having photographed my beautiful and brilliant cousin several times in the past it was extra special to include the love of her life for pre-wedding photos! Having known both of them all their lives as our families have been connected for decades and admiring the beautiful people they’ve become, it was amazing to share in celebrating their love in Hawaii! They’re super sweet and a wonderful compliment to one another!!
As they live in Toronto we made arrangements for an engagement/pre-wedding photo shoot over on the island. I’m so glad we did! We had a fun, adventurous time. It was also a great opportunity to use locations that are meaningful to them but would require too much driving on the wedding day. We started off at a local surf spot with the black sand beach then headed along the gorgeous scenic drive to the ranch property with a waterfall. Jo is the talented designer/owner of Cedar and Vine. Every outfit she wore was one of her creations! The final one being her stunning reception dress. Seeing Jo after that outfit change added so much more anticipation for their wedding day. There were lots of oooh’s and awww’s!! I’m so happy to share this love-filled pre-wedding shoot with the gorgeous Hawaiian scenery!
Also next on my list to blog is their beautiful wedding day! 🙂
