The only brief opportunities I’ve previously had this beautiful friend in front of my camera was when she was hidden by a photo of a cat face and behind her phone taking pictures of crocuses in the pasture. So I was very excited when Megan asked me to photograph her in this meaningful place when she was down this way recently. The old schoolhouse in Tribune holds heaps of memories for her from hours she spent playing here with her sister when they were kids. What a fun playhouse that would have been! Out of necessity as the building is deteriorated there are plans to remove it so we didn’t want to miss the chance to shoot in this great space! With massive walls of windows, high ceilings, forgotten treasures, an abundance of doorways, vintage paint colors that are perfectly crackled. This old schoolhouse has a lot of appeal!! The light, colors and this stunning beauty that is well on her way to becoming a schoolteacher. I love how it all came together!
The time we spend together is always enjoyable, a fun adventure and filled with endless conversation! We are on fairly opposite ends of the spectrum as far as our schedules as I nearly wake up when Megan can typically go to bed. I’m looking forward to catching up again soon…in the afternoon or evening of course! With this beautiful, thoughtful, kindhearted gal I’m lucky to call a dear friend!
